The Pizzeria Prima Strada Team Gets Athletic!

Since the opening of our newest location at Fort and Foul Bay, our team of employees has grown considerably.

At PPS, we’re a diverse group – and that’s a good thing – but there’s one thing we’ve always had in common (aside from our love for Neapolitan pizza, of course): we believe it important to stay active and to live a healthy lifestyle.

So, pizza making isn’t our only form of exercise. Among us are runners, cyclists, soccer players, wrestlers, snowboarders and the list goes on…

There’s a lot of talent at Prima Strada, so why not team up athletically?

Last week, that’s exactly what we did. A few of our team members took part in a 20km relay race at Thetis Lake. Here are some photos of our team, powered by pizza.

2015 EcoStar Award for Prima Strada Pizzeria
We Brought Home An Award From This Year’s Van Isle EcoStar Gala And We Couldn’t Be Happier!

We’re so pleased to announce that we were awarded “Greenest Restaurant” in our category at this year’s EcoStar Awards, presented by Synergy Enterprises here in Victoria.

The EcoStar Awards acknowledge outstanding environmental consideration, leadership and achievements by individuals, organizations and businesses in and around the Victoria area. As we initially read through the list of finalists, we couldn’t help but remark that we were in great company – so great to see so many other local businesses doing their part.

While we at Pizzeria Prima Strada have always done our best to be respectful of the environment, this past year we took things a step further. We officially achieved carbon neutrality with the help of Offsetters – something we’re very proud of.

We’re so thankful to have received this award – it solidifies the fact that we’re headed in the right direction.

But, there’s always more to be done. As one of our core values is a mandate to relentlessly strive for improvement, we will continue to do all we can to become greener and greener as a company.

Stay tuned.

Looking For A Donation From PPS For Your Next Event? Here’s Some Helpful Info!

As a local independent business, PPS recognizes the importance of its surrounding community. (We know what you do for us, and it’s something we’ll never take for granted).

As such, we understand the need and importance of giving back to our community.

So, if you’re wondering whether we provide donations, the answer is “Yes, absolutely. And we thank you for thinking of us.”

Rather than stopping by in person, please send your donation requests electronically to donations@primastrada.com. (That way, there’s no wasted paper, and your requests go to the right person).

Please try to send us your requests with a minimum of 30 days notice, that way we have enough time to process your request.

If applicable, provide your registered charity number. Please also provide the date and nature of your event.

Note that a donation from Prima Strada is a $40 gift certificate to either of our locations.

Should we determine we’re able to accommodate your request, you’ll hear from us in due time.

Thanks for taking the time to read these guidelines.

We Closed Out the PPS Mobile Season With a Great Weekend at Rifflandia! Recap Here!

We brought our mobile oven to Royal Athletic park again this year for Rifflandia 2015 and it was another great weekend that won’t soon be forgotten.

For the second time, we teamed up with our friends at The Zone 91.3 by sponsoring their live broadcasts from the event. We love working with them!

Prior to the weekend, PPS Chef Tyler brainstormed a special pizza he called “Il Tropicale” in keeping with this year’s festival theme: mango chili tomato sauce, citrus pesto, mozzarella, parmigiano, red peppers, red onion and Capicollo ham – as you’d expect, this pie was an absolute hit with the crowd pfizer viagra france.

We planned something special for every day.

On Friday, we gave away a pair of Super Passes to a lucky PPS fan.

On Saturday, anyone who bought a pizza from us was given a free PPS “Lune e Lupo” t-shirt –…
