Pizzeria Prima Strada in Victoria and Cobble Hill is open again!
We’re Open!

On Friday, June 12, 2020 the Pizzeria Prima Strada dining rooms will be open for lunch, dinner and pizza in between. The patios will be open too!

Thank you for your support and patience over the past few months!

We’re excited to announce all Prima Strada locations will be open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. The Prima Strada Production Kitchen is back in action too – producing your favourite house made goods: pepperoni, sausage and meatballs to name a few! Check out our new menu here.

You’re certain to notice a few changes in our operation, rest assured our passion for pizza and people is unchanged.

Here’s what you can expect:

We’ve changed our operations to reduce seating, overall touches and increased cleaning protocols in accordance with WorkSafe BC guidelines. For dining room guests, we’ll need the name and phone number for 1 person in your group. Maximum 6 guests per table. Takeout and online ordering will continue – we love our new App. Please consider paying with Debit or Credit.

We’re Open! Order Online!

We’re open! And, you can now order online! Wow, those are exciting words.

All Pizzeira Prima Strada locations are open from 4pm  – sold out, Wednesday-Sundays for take-out.

We’ll start with a few pizzas, salad, beer and wine (you know, the essentials) with plans to add more each week!

People first
Putting People First.

Usually we put pizza first but today and in the days ahead, it’s only right to put people first.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had a global impact and we recognize it remains a primary concern for everyone. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the virus. Prima Strada’s number one priority is the safety of our team and our customers. 

Our standards for hygiene and cleanliness remain high and we’ve introduced significant additional safety and sanitation practices over the last several days.

We are following the recommendations of the experts at the BC Centre for Disease Control, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and Island Health.

At daily meetings with our managers, we implement any additional practices and policies necessary to keep both our team and customers safe.

Some additional safety measures we are implementing may have a slight effect on speed (but never quality).  We also may have some disruption and change in service as we address new information and conditions.

We appreciate your patience while we work to make the necessary changes to protect our community.

Sunshine Salad

Sunshine Salad, that’s what we call it at home. When we can’t see a bit of blue in the grey sky, we know it’s time to eat Sunshine Salad – it’s sweet, tart, maybe a bit spicy, juicy and fresh. It reminds us we will see blue sky soon!

For many years it was a standard on the Prima Strada menu – Insalata Fresca.  It was on the feature board at Cook Street a few weekends back. It’s a salad that’s easy to customize (omit the grapefruit, add Meyer lemons, skip the chili flakes) and the ingredients can be found in winter! Admittedly, citrus segments take the most time but always worth the effort.

Insalata Fresca aka Sunshine Salad

fresh fennel bulb – sliced thin or shaved on a mandolin if you’ve got one! red onion sliced thin your favourite citrus – orange or lemon segments, grapefruit is delicious, blood orange is too! handful of arugula citrus vinaigrette* S&P to taste chili flakes to taste

Citrus vinaigrette

4 sm shallots, finely diced 750 ml olive oil 200 ml lemon juice 120 ml orange juice zest of 1 lemon S&P to tast

It’s Beer Week! Time for Pizza, Beer and Gelato!

Pizza makes us happy! Beer make us happy!  Gelato makes us happy!

We’re thrilled to be a part of Victoria Beer Week. From March 6-14, this nine-day festival highlights the best of local BC craft breweries with education (Beer School is the Best School), workshops and of course plenty of tastings.

We’re teaming up with five fantastic breweries this year: Mt. Arrowsmith Brewing, Howl Brewing, Land & Sea Brewing, Four Winds Brewing and Red Arrow Brewing. Prima Strada Chef Franz Dessombes will create four pizzas courses and one dessert to pair with each beer!
