We want to let you in on a secret. On the eve of International Women’s Day (March 7th, 2018) team Forza Prima Strada will be lacing up and hitting the downtown streets of Victoria in a Secret Marathon.
Join team PPS for the first ever Secret Marathon 3K run/walk in partnership with Running Room, Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (CW4WAfghan) and The Secret Marathon documentary film. Together we can empower women and girls through education and sport.
In 2015 for the first time ever, a marathon was held in Afghanistan, a marathon that both men and women were able to participate in but they had to keep it a secret. Why? There are still places in the world where women are not allowed to run or walk outside. Can you believe it?
