PPS’ Festa della Donna Celebration a Success, Raises Almost $800 For Shelbourne Community Kitchen

This year, PPS celebrated International Women’s day, or as they say in Italian, Festa della Donna, by honoring a woman in the community who does incredible work. Kim Cummins is the Program Coordinator at the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.

At the SCK, Kim works with the community to develop and maintain garden and kitchen programs; offer food distribution; coordinate volunteers; and ultimately, do anything she can to increase levels of food security for low-income families and individuals in the Victoria region.

“I believe that everyone has the right to healthy food and a sense of community belonging,” says Kim. We could not agree more.

Kim’s latest project has been fundraising for a wheelchair accessibility ramp.

We’re thrilled to announce that, with your help, we raised just short of 800 dollars for Kim and her SCK wheelchair accessibility ramp project.

Sincerest thanks to all those who celebrated International Women’s Day with us! We couldn’t have done this without you.
