The Family That Plays Together, Stays Together: Here’s How the PPS Team Kicked Off the Summer Season!

At Pizzeria Prima Strada, we’re more than a team. We’re a family.

As with any family, it can be hard to find time together. When we get the chance, we take it. And if the opportunity doesn’t present itself, we’ll make one!

On a recent Monday, we shut down our Cook Street location for lunch (we opened for dinner). We’re sorry if this caused you any inconvenience – it was in the name of staff appreciation!

What better way to kick off the summer season than with some impromptu lawnbowling?! We say impromptu as it was a surprise to our team. They thought they were gathered for an emergency staff meeting. (Sneaky, we know).

We walked a short distance from PPS Cook to the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club where the club members quickly brought us up to speed with the very much needed basic how-tos.

Most of us had never played. It was a great day of learning, laughing (at ourselves and each other) and family fun! After a quick practice, things got serious as “official” play began!

Naturally, we were starved after all the activity and happily dove into delicious eats and treats from Chorizo & Co and Cold Comfort.

Nothing better.

Here are some photos!
