With the weather getting warmer and the cherry blossoms blooming, we think it makes complete sense to think about gelato and sorbetto. Specifically, more gelato and sorbetto. We love the pistachio and chocolate gelatos and the mango and lemon sorbettos in our cases, but honestly, we’ve been dreaming of more. So, we started talking with Fiasco – a small batch artisan gelatiere and the source of our delicious treats. They’re as passionate about gelato as we are pizza! Like our pies, their gelato is simple, honest and filled with passion.
We had such a good time considering new flavours, we thought you would, too. That’s why we want you to take the reins and help us determine the 2 new flavours to be added to our cases! As of today, you can vote for our next feature gelato and sorbetto flavours right here on the PPS blog. We’ve compiled a list of Fiasco’s delicious and exciting flavors we know you’ll love!
Gelato
Cappuccino – As Itallian as it gets, vanilla bean gelato soaked in espresso.
PB&J – Not just for kids! Organic peanuts smashed into a cream base and drizzled with Saskatoon berry spread.
Salted Caramel – Fiasco’s own Argentinian Dulce de Leche gelato heightened with Sicilian sea salt.
White Chocolate Raspberry – Smooth and silky Belgian white chocolate over fresh raspberry.
Wild BC Blueberry – Violet Beauregarde’s signature flavor with a little local love. Just the way we like it.
Sorbetto
Blood Orange – Sicilian blood oranges straight from Italy bring this sorbetto to life.
Cantaloupe – Fresh summer melons made into a delicious treat for your enjoyment!
Coconut Caramel – Coconut milk and fresh young coconut complete with a caramel drizzle.
Dairy-Free Dark Chocolate – Even more chocolaty than the chocolate gelato we offer regularly!
Honey Pear – Roasted Bartlett pears drenched in wild flower honey.

I once had the most utterly delish gelato flavour EVER in New Orleans at a small gelato place – Coconut Basil. Out of this world. Primo Strado is my favourite pizza place in Victoria, and since you are asking now about gelato flavours…. Ask them if they can make that – and see how people LOVE it… 🙂 Just a suggestion! 🙂
