It’s Beer Week! Time for Pizza, Beer and Gelato!

We’re thrilled to be a part of Victoria Beer Week. From March 6-14, this nine-day festival highlights the best of local BC craft breweries with education (Beer School is the Best School), workshops and of course plenty of tastings.

We’re teaming up with five fantastic breweries this year: Mt. Arrowsmith Brewing, Howl Brewing, Land & Sea Brewing, Four Winds Brewing and Red Arrow Brewing. Prima Strada Chef Franz Dessombes will create four pizzas courses and one dessert to pair with each beer!

Join us on Monday March 9th, 2020 at Pizzeria Prima Strada Fort Street!

Long Table in Cobble Hill

That’s right, the team at Pizzeria Prima Strada along with Blue Grouse Estate Winery Winemaker Bailey Williamson will join forces for two new Long Table events in Cobble Hill.

Wednesday, November 13th @ 6:30pm – buy ticket  – SOLD OUT Thursday, November 28th @ 6:30pm – buy tickets – SOLD OUT

The evening begins at 6:30pm at our Cobble Hill location. While Bailey shares his knowledge and answers your questions about Cowichan Valley’s Blue Grouse wines, you’ll sip vino and snack on antipasti. Dinner will follow – served family-style.

Purchase your seat from the PPS Events Page. Cost is $55 per person (does not include gratuity). The evening includes a 3-course meal with paired wine tasting along the way.

PPS’ mobile wood-fired pizza oven is ready for action this summer!  The benefits of sun, craft beer and wood-fired pizza are unlimited, especially when two local, family-owned and award-winning businesses come together.

Join us this summer, Thursday – Sunday 12pm – 7pm for wood-fired pizza and a pint on location at Category 12 Brewing at 2200 Keating Cross Road.

Fantasy Pizza Night at PPS Cook

Fantasy Night Pizza – what’s that you ask? Let us tell you …

For years now (almost 10!) we’ve been asked about those “other” toppings. At PPS, we stick with the traditional and use ingredients typically found on or inspired by traditional Neapolitan pizza. But for one night only, we got a little crazy (or as they say in Italian, pazzo) and add toppings to pizzas you’ve never seen before (and might not ever see again). And we did it Prima Strada style.

It was crazy, awesome and maybe even a little weird (in a really delicious way). Yes, there was pineapple, iceberg lettuce, house made ranch dressing and so much more. And all on our award winning wood fired pizzas!  We served up five deliciously creative Fantasy Pizzas along with PPS’ top 3 pies – Margherita, Salsiccia and Funghi.

Riot Brewing Cask Night!

Love wood fired pizza and local beer?  If you’re vigorously nodding, we’ve got just the thing.  It’s true, there’s no better combination. Pizza and beer really are the best of friends and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Chemainus locals, Riot Brewing, for our first cask night at PPS Cobble Hill.

Franz Dessombes, Executive Chef at Pizzeria Prima Strada helped out at the brewery. “We were fortunate to be a part of the hands-on process when it came time to tweak the ‘Life Partners Pale Ale’ cask. We know you’ll like the sour cherry and thyme twist – plus it pairs really nicely with pizza so everybody wins!”
